Mike Loya Center for Innovation and Commerce & The Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship
hosted a coffee and doughnut booth at UTEP’s Leech Grove that was an
informative table bringing the awareness of Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Students were invited to receive free coffee and a doughnut. Student assistants
from both centers informed the students of the university who stopped by, attracted
by the free food. Little did the students know, they would learn a little more
about how their declared major, non-business related, could actually be driven
into a business perspective.
A minor in Entrepreneurship offered by the College of Business
to non-business majors is unknown to many UTEP students. These students can
benefit from minoring in Entrepreneurship to start up a new business at the
same time being able to do what they love. Students also learned more about the
resources offered by both Mike Loya Center for Innovation and Commerce and
Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship.
As UTEP students celebrated Entrepreneurship Week, students
took pictures to show their enthusiasm for this exciting event and
opportunities for their future.
